THE WORKSHOP

You will move through the Workshop individually using this website in order to see the array of math technology available on the Internet.

Things to keep in mind:
  • We have selected a few rich problem-solving activities and ask that you enter the mind frame or 'shoes' of the students from a variety of grades while solving the problems.
  • Some activities are not Internet based, but can use e-manipulatives or virtual manipulatives to help solve them.
  • Other tasks involve simulations and still others are presented in an engaging and entertaining online game format.
  • In addition to these problems, we have provided a variety of sites that can be used to deliver curriculum in an engaging way.
  • Some websites are already databased according to Grades, others are game-based and skill based - used mainly for practice, but all can be valuable depending on the pre-work and screening you do before introducing these to your students.
